The TV-movie, to be produced for ABC, details the ill-fated love affair of Johnny Stompanato, a stooge of L.A. mobster Mickey Cohen, and 1950s-era movie star Lana Turner. Crane, Turner's daughter, centers her memoir around her fatal stabbing of Stompanato — an act ruled a justifiable homicide.
