DAS BUS

A Film By Benjamin Meade

SUMMARY:

(From the official site)

"DAS BUS is an Experimental Documentary featuring bus drivers, passengers, and people with bus phobia which investigates bus culture as modern urban myth. This highly provocative film also features an eclectic soundtrack including the music of Iris Dement, Tech N9NE, Nace Brothers, Bill Gladden, Binary System, The Bon Ton Soul Accordian Band, the Bolony Ponyz, Bob Walkenhorst, Billy Ebeling and Gary Kirkland."

ELLROY'S ROLE:

The Demon Dog rides the bus...the Demon Dog seems horrified by the bus (according to those who have seen the film)...the Demon Dog remembers riding at the back of the bus during the tumult of the Civil Rights movement, not as a sign of solidarity, but because it was easier to sneak sips from his bagged bottle....
